Emergency Services

Open 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, PMC’s emergency department is a Level IV Trauma Center for Parmer County and the surrounding area.  Handling cases of sickness, accidents or life threatening conditions, PMC staff and physicians are able to triage and treat or triage and transfer patients in a professional but caring atmosphere.

All emergency nurses maintain their certification in Trauma, their ACLS certification.  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of cardiac arrest and other life threatening medical emergencies, as well as the knowledge and skills to deploy those interventions.  In addition, staff maintain certification in TNCC (Trauma Nurse Coordinator Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course).
