Fourth Annual Kidz Health & Safety Fair Held
Parmer Medical Center held its fourth annual “Kidz Health & Safety Fair” on Saturday at the Friona City Park. Approximately 189 children from Friona, Farwell, Texico, Bovina, Muleshoe and Hereford were in attendance. In addition there were even some visitors from Tucson, Arizona! Blue Bonnet Home Health, the Friona Fire Department and Dr. J. R. Ivans Dental Office were present in addition to all the hospital booths. The portable Coffee Memorial Blood Mobile was also available for adults who wished to donate blood.
The children in attendance were given summer tips, safety education and various handouts. They also received back-packs, sun glasses, and first aid kits. A hamburger or hotdog sack lunch was provided. Two bicycles were given away with the winners being Noah Santiago and Becky Schlenker both of Friona.
