Laurie McAfee, LBSW from the Area Agency on Aging will be presenting a free informative program on Medicare Savings Programs and Preventative services on January 26, 2015 at the Parmer County Medical Center at 2:00 PM.
Medicare Savings programs can help pay for your premiums and out-of-pocket costs, such as deductibles and coinsurance. There are four different programs and each one has a different income and resource eligibility limit. Seniors will also learn about getting help with prescription drug costs. Those who qualify for these programs pay no premiums, deductibles and no more than $6.60 for each drug their plan covers.
Participants will receive materials explaining the programs and how to enroll. Included in the program is a presentation of the 24 Preventative Services Medicare offers to beneficiaries.
