Carmen Putman, RN, FNP-C
Parmer Medical Center is proud to have Carmen Putman, RN, FNP-C as one of our healthcare providers. Carmen started at PMC as the Director of Nursing in August of 2008. Recently, she completed her training and became certified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and joined our team of physicians and physician assistants to serve the healthcare needs of our community. Carmen works in the Emergency Department Monday through Friday serving your emergency needs. In addition to the Emergency Department, Carmen sees patients in the clinic on Tuesday afternoons focusing on women’s health issues.
Carmen is married to Daniel Putman. They have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Carmen has lived in Friona for 14 years. She moved her from New Mexico and says that she likes Friona because “it feels like family here. The staff and providers are some of the best I’ve ever worked with. Everyone truly has a caring heart for our patients. I feel it is a privilege to be part of such a great team.”
When she is not spending time with Daniel or playing with the grandkids, she enjoys reading and antique shopping. Some of her proudest moments in life have been her marriage to Daniel, the birth of her children and grandchildren, followed by receiving her RN degree and license and her Nurse Practitioner certification. As a Nurse Practitioner, Carmen likes to “stress the importance of yearly checkups and age specific tests such as pap smears, mammograms, colonoscopies, and other screenings. Preventive medicine can save lives."
